Alexandra Farhangui

Chemical Engineering, Cornell University

Alexandra Farhangui is originally from Fremont, California. She graduated in 2021 from Cornell University with a dual bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and biology with a concentration in biochemistry. During this time, Farhangui also did research in genetics for the Hua Lab, played in the Big Red Pep Band, and joined and held leadership positions in Pi Beta Phi fraternity for women.

Her current research includes two pending patents on pneumatic otoscopy devices, research into AI image-based dermatologic diagnostic algorithms, and research with the Waterman Lab of Patient Engagement, Diversity, and Education. At EnMed, Alexandra is currently a member of her medical school executive council as Class Treasurer, elected in 2021.

In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, listening to audio books, and embroidery.
