Dr. Kamlesh Yadav, instructional associate professor at the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine, was recently honored with a visiting faculty appointment through the Shri Gopal Rajgarhia International Programme at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

He was invited by Dr. Subhamoy Mondal from IIT’s School of Medical Science and Technology, a department that has combined medicine and engineering since it launched in 2001.

During his 10-day academic visit, Yadav delivered a lecture series to students in the Master’s in Medical Science and Technology program. This three-year degree is designed for medical students in India pursuing an MBBS, the country’s primary medical degree, and teaches them how to apply technology to medicine.

Yadav’s lectures covered genomics and personalized medicine, artificial intelligence in health care, and digital health trends. His sessions included presentations on his cancer biomarker research and experimental therapies, demonstrating the connection between scientific discovery and clinical application.

Beyond his IIT engagement, Yadav spoke at the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India Conference, hosted at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Bhubaneswar. There, he discussed AI integration in laboratory diagnostics and shared insights on precision medicine.
