Aditi Bhaskar

Mechanical Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin

Aditi Bhaskar is from Plano, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Spanish.

As an undergraduate, Aditi worked as a research assistant in a transportation engineering group, assisting with projects and papers on electric vehicles, traffic safety, travel demand, and more. Aditi also worked with her university’s international students office to organize and implement educational summer programs for visiting students. She was Director of Finance and Director of Production in TexasTHON, an organization working to raise money and awareness of the programs at Dell Children’s Medical Center. After graduation, she worked at Epic Systems, helping healthcare organizations plan and execute projects to improve their patient experience.

Aditi chose the EnMed program for its innovative curriculum and the opportunity to apply an engineering mindset to the everyday challenges of medicine, with a particular interest in medical education. She would like to build on her past teaching experiences, from helping students improve their writing to demonstrating new patient experience workflows, and integrate her engineering background to create ways to explain complex medical topics. Through the EnMed program, she hopes to become a creative physician and a strong educator, for her patients and for future students.

In her free time, Aditi enjoys reading, writing, and spending time in nature, especially with her camera.
