Melody Yeh

Biomedical Engineering, Texas A&M University

Melody Yeh is from Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Engineering Honors. As an undergraduate, she conducted research in the Quantitative Optical Imaging Lab led by Dr. Walsh, where she helped develop and optimize low-cost, scalable luminescence lifetime imaging systems. Over the summers, she also completed research at Rice University through the Houston Methodist Research Institute SURI program and with the Texas A&M S-REU Program, where she placed first overall in the poster session. Melody served as the Co-Chair of the Engineering Honors Executive Committee and as ambassadors for Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Honors. She was a recipient of the Craig C. Brown Outstanding Senior Engineer Award and the Department of Biomedical Engineering’s Outstanding Senior Undergraduate Award in the Biomechanics track.

Melody chose the EnMed program because of her passions for problem-solving, engineering, and medicine. With the unique curriculum and opportunities at the EnMed program, she is excited to train to become a physicianeer and use her engineering background to improve the accessibility and affordability of healthcare.

In her free time, Melody enjoys spending time with friends and family and trying different foods. She also likes swimming, doing puzzles, and painting.
