Garrett Kuketz

Biomedical Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin

Garrett Kuketz is from Southlake, TX, and completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2022. During his undergraduate career, Kuketz held research positions with Dell Medical School and UT’s Computational Oncology lab and leadership roles with the American Medical Students Association (AMSA). On weekends he was involved with food banks, particularly during the COVID pandemic, where he finds joy in helping families find food security.

Recently, Kuketz worked in the wearable device space pushing for FDA approval with a small startup team, gaining hands on experience with clinical testing. His current research interest involves computational biology, quantitative radiology, and cancer cachexia, and has co-authored a paper in the European Journal of Radiology.

Outside of the challenges of EnMed, he enjoys all things such as swimming, gaming, weightlifting, and water skiing. You can find him exploring Houston’s many coffee shops and cafés, usually accompanied by friends.
