Electrical/Computer Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin

Rijul Nanda was raised in Katy, TX, and graduated with his bachelor of science in Electrical/Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. During his time as an undergrad, he was part of the Longhorn Racing Formula SAE where he served as the Electronics Lead of the Combustion engine team to design, test, and implement the electronics components of the car for competition against other schools nationally. He was also an active volunteer with Foundation Communities Healthy Food Pantry program providing groceries and supplies to underserved residents in the Austin area. He was a Product and Test Engineering intern at Texas Instruments, and following graduation, he worked at Texas Instruments as a Product and Test Engineer on the hardware and software design of a high volume semiconductor device in the Processors Product Engineering organization in Dallas, TX.

He chose EnMed because of the opportunities provided to him to continue to develop his engineering skills and combine them with his medical interests. With his background in computer engineering, he hopes to work to design novel software solutions to enhance medical care, specifically including machine learning and AI innovations.

In his free time, he enjoys playing catch with his friends in Hermann Park, running, and hopes to participate in the Houston Half Marathon in 2025. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends indoors, and exploring food options in Houston.
