Biomedical Engineering, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Magdalyn (Maggie) Snyder is from Charlotte, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2023 with a bachelor of science in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry. During her undergraduate career, Snyder completed an undergraduate thesis exploring the molecular and brain mechanisms that underlie pain sensation and how genetics, such as those that cause developmental disabilities, can alter it.

After obtaining her degree, Snyder was a research technician in the Cell Biology and Physiology department at UNC, where she worked on assessing the efficacy of various analgesic drugs.

During her free time, Snyder volunteers at communities housing individuals with disabilities and at local blood drives. She enjoys traveling, crocheting, running, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
