Avinav Saini
Biomedical Engineering, Texas A&M University
Avi Saini grew up in Austin, TX, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.
During his undergraduate career, Avi was a research assistant in Dr. Feng Zhao’s Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering lab, which focused on cardiovascular, lymphatic, and skin tissue research for regenerative medicine applications, and volunteered with St. David’s HealthCare, Office of Research. He also worked as a product manufacturing intern with Contoro Robotics.
While at A&M, Avi was actively involved in community service, volunteering with local communities, food banks, and several TAMU student organizations. He enjoyed serving as a counselor for Fish Camp and studying abroad in South Africa. Saini chose EnMed because he is passionate about integrating innovation in translational biomedical research and medical devices with patient-centered care and preventative medicine.
In his free time, he enjoys swimming, spending time with friends and family, spontaneous road trips, dog-sitting, and ping-pong.
