Brandon Bounds
Biomedical Engineering, The University of Arizona
Brandon Bounds was raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, a minor in Biochemistry, and with Honors from the Honors College. As an undergrad, he participated in Emergency Medicine Research, spent his summers as an engineering intern on a biomaterials research group, and was a leader on his senior design team creating a wearable wrist brace for treating carpal tunnel syndrome. Bounds also competed on the Cross Country/Track and Field Team serving as captain and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Member.
Bounds chose EnMed because he is passionate about problem-solving and utilizing technology to fill gaps in medical care, specifically for austere environments. He also chose EnMed for the long history of military medicine at Texas A&M. As a Health Professions Scholarship Program recipient, Bounds was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, and he hopes to apply his knowledge of healthcare and engineering while serving in the U.S. Army.
Outside of the classroom, Bounds is passionate about volunteering at the VA and Ronald McDonald House, running, hiking, skiing, playing guitar, and spending time with friends and family.
