Ivan Rodriguez-Oliveros was raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, with an Engineering Honors distinction.

During his time as an undergrad, he was involved in computational research, specifically exploring interactions between protein systems. He conducted research through the CoMSEF scholars REU program and Texas A&M USRG program. Additionally, he served as President of the American Red Cross Club at Texas A&M University and led the Engineering Honors Chemical Engineering Ambassadors Group.

The EnMed program aligned perfectly with Ivan’s ambition to merge engineering principles with clinical knowledge to drive healthcare innovation. Ivan is eager to collaborate with experts to develop practical, real-world solutions. He aims to leverage engineering frameworks to address complex medical challenges and advance current medical technologies.

In his free time, Ivan enjoys hiking at national parks. He also likes painting, pickleball and basketball.
