Maggie Jordan
Mechanical Engineering, The University of Alabama
Originally from the greater Philadelphia area, Maggie graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama. She gained experience as a design engineer in the energy and manufacturing industry, working on various projects along the West and Gulf coasts before continuing on to complete medical prerequisite curricula at UC Berkeley at night while working as a medical assistant at an orthopedic surgery clinic by day.
Maggie chose EnMed with the intent to specifically dovetail expert medical training and future practice with an innovative, STEM-based approach to creating tangible and systemic improvements in healthcare. She has an early interest in surgical/procedural specialties.
Outside of medicine, Maggie enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew and their pet cat and dog, reading, cooking, crafting, and exercising. In the cooler months, you can catch her jogging the Houston trails slowly with Birdie, a rescued Great Pyrenees mix.
