Benjamin Langford
Biomedical Engineering, Arizona State University
Benjamin Langford is from Gilbert, Arizona. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University. His senior design team was selected to participate in the Mayo Clinic Synapse internship. Their Executive Health Wearable device earned the award for “Best Device Product” voted on by the Biomedical Engineering faculty at ASU.
During his time as an undergraduate student, Benjamin also participated in research with the MORE foundation, where he performed biomechanical data analysis on gait analysis data from patients who received total knee replacements. His research focused on analyzing outcomes post surgery between different implant designs and comparing them to age-matched healthy controls. As an undergraduate student, Benjamin worked as a medical assistant and scribe for a private clinic in Mesa, Arizona, where he also worked as technical support for the company’s founders.
Benjamin chose to attend EnMed for the opportunity to build on his engineering background and develop skills that will allow him to develop future innovations in medicine. He hopes to improve medical outcomes and quality of life for his patients in the future with new tools, devices, and processes. He is especially interested in biomechanics and human motion and hopes to help people stay in motion for their whole lives.
In his free time, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his wife playing board games and card games. He also enjoys playing any sport, especially basketball and golf.
