Biomedical Engineering, Utah State University

Ethan Edwards is from Bend, Oregon, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering from Utah State University. At Utah State, Ethan engaged in rigorous undergraduate research, contributing to two primary projects: the development of innovative cell scaffolding techniques for tissue engineering applications and the evaluation of mechanical safety in humeral bone plates.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Ethan dedicated two years to international volunteer service in the Fijian Islands with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There, he provided physical, mental health, and spiritual support to both Fijian and Fiji-Hindi communities, deepening his commitment to community service.

Ethan chose to pursue his medical education at EnMed driven by a strong passion for integrating engineering principles with clinical medicine to improve patient outcomes. His professional interests include physical medicine and rehabilitation, anesthesiology, and emergency medicine. He is eager to contribute to the Houston community through volunteer initiatives alongside his peers at EnMed.

Outside of his academic and professional endeavors, Ethan enjoys outdoor activities such as running, biking, and rock climbing. He also values quality time with family and often is reading, watching movies, or playing board games.
