Rucha Dave
Electrical and Computer Engineering, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering
Rucha Dave is from Nashua, New Hampshire, and got her Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Olin College of Engineering. She was a course assistant for multiple classes throughout undergrad and co-founded the school’s Girls Who Code chapter. During her senior spring, she was a student instructor for Advanced Algorithms, where she designed and led lectures, homework, labs, and projects on topics such as network flows, linear programming, P vs. NP, and approximation algorithms. She also spent a semester innovating alongside street medicine physicians and worked as a medical assistant in internal medicine.
She chose EnMed because she wants to continue exploring the intersection of data science and medicine. While at Olin, Rucha did research under Dr. Shuman, applying graph signal processing to fMRI data and using machine learning methods to classify cognitive tasks. She hopes to continue leveraging her background in data science and software engineering to further medical care alongside clinical practice.
In her free time, Rucha trains in Hindustani classical singing and enjoys exploring anything music. She also loves spending time leading kids’ activities at her local temple. Her other hobbies include dance, badminton, and volleyball.
