Biomedical Engineering, Texas A&M University
Sammy Tobeh is from College Station, Texas, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. During his undergraduate studies, he served as the Treasurer of the Biomedical Engineering Society, where he built the financial foundation of the organization from the ground up. He also won first place at the 2025 Texas A&M Engineering Project Showcase—competing against over 300 teams—for developing an innovative pediatric port closure device. Alongside his studies, Sammy also gained hands-on experience working at the Bryan-College Station Free Health Clinic, where he helped provide care to underserved and at-risk individuals. During his gap year, he worked as a product development engineer at Enovis, contributing to the design and innovation of orthopedic devices.
Sammy chose EnMed in response to the growing integration of technology in medicine and the need for physicians who can keep pace with innovation. He plans to develop cost-effective medical solutions to help reduce financial barriers to care, and has particular interests in surgery and radiology. Sammy looks forward to ensuring that medical advancements remain accessible to underserved populations, especially within the Houston community.
Outside of academics, Sammy enjoys playing sports like soccer and basketball, diving into sci-fi novels—Dune being a favorite—and challenging friends in video games like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8. He’s always up for trying new things and can often be found cruising around in his car or listening to music.
