Sarah Voon was raised in Katy, Texas. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with Engineering Honors and a minor in Mathematics from Texas A&M University. During her time as an undergraduate student, she was a Craig and Galen Brown Foundation scholar and the president of the Brown Foundation Freshman Leadership Organization. She is passionate about being a teacher and a mentor to other students and has taught subjects ranging from ballet to flute to English to her favorite, mathematics.

She completed her undergraduate thesis as a sophomore and earned her Aggie Ring after just a year and a half at A&M. Voon has served as a summer research intern at the Houston Methodist Research Institute and has also had the opportunity to help lead a study abroad program for incoming freshmen to the United Kingdom. She has received numerous scholastic accolades, including the prestigious Craig C. Brown Outstanding Senior Engineer Award and the Outstanding Senior Undergraduate Award for the Cellular & Molecular Bioengineering Track in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. She has volunteered her time as part of Texas A&M’s Emergency Care Team, assisting EMTs in critical care situations, and has served as a Physical Exam Teaching Associate, teaching first-year medical students how to perform a physical exam.

Voon chose EnMed because she felt that EnMed perfectly aligned with her vision for innovating healthcare solutions which could be more accessible and affordable for communities around the world. She strongly believes that the intersection of healthcare and technology is the future. She is excited to be a part of this next wave of healthcare innovation.

In her free time, Voon enjoys volunteering, teaching and tutoring K-12 students, scrapbooking, journaling, and exploring the food scene across Texas. Most of all, she values spending quality time with her friends, cat, fiancé, and family.
