Civil Engineering, University of Texas at Austin

Peter Lin, born and raised in Houston, Texas, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Civil Engineering. He subsequently completed a Master of Science degree in Medical Science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.

While at UT, he became involved research focused on solvent based heavy oil recovery in hydraulic fractures. Lin decided to pursue medicine after actively volunteering at a local free clinic, caring for underserved populations. He was enamored with the human characteristic of medicine and hopes to make an impact through development and integration of medical devices into clinical practice.

In his free time, Lin enjoys exploring new restaurants, collecting watches, and going to the gym.

After graduation, Lin will further their medical career at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, NM, specializing in anesthesiology.
