Gabrielle Rogie

Biomedical Engineering, Mercer University

Gabrielle Rogie from Savannah, GA, received her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Mercer University in Macon, GA, before joining EnMed.

She is primarily interested in developing devices that aid in the treatment of orthopedic deformities. Her background includes working in rural communities in Vietnam fitting prosthetics on amputee victims as well as assisting in running an orthopedic clinic. She also assisted in the development of a brace to aid in the treatment of adults with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.

“EnMed is the best of both worlds,” she said. “I hope this program provides me the tools to be both the surgeon I aspire to be as well as an engineer who improves the way orthopedic deformities are treated.”

When Rogie is not busy studying, she enjoys crocheting, playing the violin, watching movies and spending time with her cats.
