Biophysics, University of Texas at Austin
Originally from Bedford Hills, NY, Michael Biskup joins EnMed with a bachelor’s degree in biophysics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Michael was always passionate about pursuing medicine, but in college he gained an appreciation for engineering and the more quantitative side of science. When he learned about EnMed, he immediately knew it was a perfect fit. He hopes to identify and work on solutions to needs within the healthcare system while in the program.
Previously, Michael volunteered at his hometown Ambulance Corps for several years. He also worked on data analytics research in an orthopedic surgery department at a New York-based hospital system. His research interests include bioinformatics, self-care apps, and home diagnostic devices.
In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling and visiting family overseas. He also trains for triathlons, bakes polish cakes and scuba dives.
