Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas at Dallas
Sadmaan Sarker is originally from Queens, NY. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas where he attained a bachelor’s of science degree in biomedical engineering. He’s worked previously as a biomedical engineer for DesignPlex Biomedical and served as a research assistant at the Texas Biomedical Device Center.
While at EnMed, Sarker hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the bio-design process and take advantage of the opportunities to use his interdisciplinary knowledge to contribute to the medical industry. His primary research interests include oncology and neurology because of the potential for big innovations. He also plans to be involved in the biomedical device startup and healthcare policy realm in the future.
“I plan to pursue a specialty that has many diseases and problems with unknown cures and a lot of potential for innovation and change,” he said.
His main interests outside of school include playing/watching basketball, football, and soccer. He also likes playing video games and hopes to travel a lot in the future.
