Biomedical Engineering, Duke University
Tahsin Bari has lived in various parts of the United States but currently considers Tyler, Texas, as her hometown. She completed her undergraduate education at Duke University, where she earned a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
During her time at Duke, Tahsin was actively engaged in research focused on developing innovative treatments for glioblastoma. Her work in this area deepened her interest in the intersection of engineering and medicine. She also worked overseas as an engineer in Uganda for two months, learning about their medical system and developing new technologies for use in underserved settings.
Tahsin chose the EnMed program because it aligns with her passion for integrating the creativity of engineering with the practice of medicine. She is eager to contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions and to advance the field of medical technology.
In her personal time, Tahsin enjoys crocheting, baking, running, and building with Legos, activities that allow her to relax and express her creativity in various ways. She also enjoys volunteering at the SPCA (and playing with the kittens!)
