Tristen Slamowitz is a process-oriented “physicianeer” with demonstrated experience in technology implementation who believes in challenging the status quo to transform the healthcare industry. She is interested in global health initiatives, low-cost innovation, human-centered design, and improving patient outcomes in underserved communities.
Slamowitz was born and raised in Richmond, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in business from the University of Virginia. During her undergraduate career, Slamowitz was involved in nanoliposome drug delivery research for breast cancer therapeutics and worked as an intern with AMPEL Biosolutions using bioinformatics analysis for drug repositioning in SLE.
Slamowitz graduated with High Distinction in 2018 and pursued a career with Accenture as a Technology consultant where she spent 3+ years as a Project Manager for large scale EHR implementations within the Military Health System. Here she gained skills with human-centered design, VBA, Tableau data visualization, sharepoint administration, and received her PMP certification.
Slamowitz currently serves as the ENMED Class of 2026 President and is actively involved in the student run clinics and Health Innovations club. During her free time, she volunteers with the Houston Rodeo, enjoys training for half marathons, and loves to travel and scuba dive.
