Priya Arunachalam

Biomedical Engineering, Johns Hopkins University

Priya Arunachalam is a process-oriented innovator at the intersection of medicine, engineering and business. Her experience in these areas includes business development, disruptive product design, and market entry strategies for companies including Alcon, Pfizer, Gemstone Biotherapeutics, and Bayer. Arunachalam is interested in process improvement, low-cost innovations, and enhanced patient outcomes.

Arunachalam was born and raised in Austin, TX. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and an MBA in Healthcare Management and Entrepreneurship from the Johns Hopkins University. Arunachalam serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit that connects medical students and professionals to service projects and provides them a space to promote their own initiatives. She is also the co-founder of a company that provides cold storage solutions for health and nutrition delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa. 

In her free time, Arunachalam promotes mental wellness, leads an active lifestyle, is a graphic designer, and likes to travel, cook and read.

After graduation, Arunachalam will further their medical career at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX, specializing in general surgery.
