Cailin O’Connell is from Missouri City, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2019 with a BS in Nuclear Engineering and a minor in Radiological Health. Her undergraduate years were spent exploring how radiation affects the public, patients, and astronauts alike, as well as the prevention of non-medical radiation exposure to the public. Her current interests include the use of proton therapy in treating pediatric cancers and the improvement of women’s healthcare access in Texas. Her ultimate goal is to serve her community by innovating healthcare to better serve patient needs. In her free time, she can be found rock climbing or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
