The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Houston-Galveston has announced its 2025-26 class, and four students from Texas A&M’s School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed) are among the newest cohort of emerging health leaders.

Anika Kamisetty, Jacquelin Stanberry, Boyang “John” Zhang and Avinav Saini will join the yearlong fellow, which empowers graduate students across health-related fields to design and implement service projects that address the unmet health needs of local communities.

As Scheweitzer Fellows, the students will work with area organizations to identify needs and implement practical, community-based health solutions,  carrying forward the legacy of Dr. Albert Schweitzer’s service-focused philosophy.

“I’m excited that this opportunity allows me to merge my past as a teacher with my future as a physicianeer, supporting underserved children by inspiring positive public health change,” Kamisetty said.

“This fellowship will allow me to pursue my passions for service and connection, while also challenging me to develop the leadership and advocacy skills I wish to incorporate into my future practice as a physician,” Stanberry added.

The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, founded in 1940, has helped launch the careers of professionals committed to improving health outcomes through service and leadership.
