Scott Heston grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and holds undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Industrial/Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. During his undergraduate education, he was a research assistant for the Electro-Optical Systems Lab at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology with mentor Jason Zutty, PhD. He also was the lab engineer for the Neural Plasticity Research Lab at Emory University with mentor Michael Borich, DPT PhD. Before coming to EnMed, he worked as a consultant for Tata Consultancy Services with a focus on artificial-intelligence system deployment, cloud computing, and web/mobile development. His interests include applied artificial intelligence, process-improvement engineering, and border health.

Scott also studied abroad in Buenos Aires and St. Petersburg during undergrad. He is fluent and a Certified Healthcare Interpreter in Spanish, and he can read French, Russian, and Portuguese. His favorite piece of literature is Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and reading world news.
