Mechanical Engineering, Texas Tech University
Kerry Anderson was raised in Tyler, Texas, and graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor of science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. During her time as an undergrad, she studied abroad in Spain and the Czech Republic and spent her summers as an engineering intern in the medical device field.
After graduating, Anderson gained experience in the energy industry which took her from Houston to Calgary, led a high-volume manufacturing maintenance department in Utah, and eventually worked as a Systems Engineer providing maintenance expertise for intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Anderson chose EnMed because she has a passion for using world-class technology to improve outcomes in resource-constrained environments. She plans to combine the innovative engineering approach to her career as a physician and has interests in rural medicine, high altitude physiology, and emergency and disaster global health.
In her free time, Anderson enjoys adventure pursuits. You can usually find her training for her next ultra-distance bicycle race, playing with her giant schnauzer, watching a movie, or perfecting a recipe in the kitchen.
