Kenneth Sims graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and commissioned into the U.S. Army as an active duty Second Lieutenant. Sims served as a Battalion Commander during his senior year at the Academy.
Sims was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. As an undergraduate, Sims’ research focused on soldier protective equipment design, biomechanics, and material science. Sims enjoys his church community, exercising, snowboarding, playing guitar, traveling with friends, and sleeping in on the weekends.
After graduation, Sims will further their medical career at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hi, specializing in otolaryngology.
