Biomedical Engineering, Texas A&M University

Matthew joins EnMed with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Texas A&M University. Born Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Matthew spent most of his life in Akron, Ohio before moving to Katy, TX.

His experience with innovative medicine includes his previous work in a research lab for the College of Veterinary Physiology at TAMU. He also completed a summer internship at Kyunghee University Hospital in Seoul, South Korea where he shadowed gastroenterology, nuclear medicine, traditional Korean/Eastern medicine and endocrinology.

With research interests that include new imaging modalities, MR spin sequences and cardiovascular applications of imaging, Matthew found EnMed as opportunity to capitalize on his undergraduate curriculum and gain practical knowledge of how to apply real innovation to medicine.

“Over the course of my career, I hope to leave an impact of excellent healing and personal patient care with lasting improvements in patient outcomes and reduced medical errors, be it through innovation or by leadership,” he said.

Outside of school, Matthew enjoys lifting weights, running, listening to music and fiddling with computers.
