Amy Wright, MBA, EdD, brings over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry and a deep passion for supporting and mentoring students. Her career spans hospital operations, clinical research, and the life sciences sector, but her most rewarding work has consistently been in education.
She has had the privilege of guiding students at various stages of their academic and professional journeys—from undergraduate medical education to postdoctoral training. Whether assisting students in navigating research opportunities, supporting them through complex academic milestones, or simply offering mentorship, she finds immense fulfillment in fostering the next generation of healthcare and scientific professionals.
With a background in healthcare administration and biomedical research, Dr. Wright is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application. She believes that mentorship is more than just guidance—it’s about building relationships, creating opportunities, and encouraging students to discover their own potential.
Currently, Dr. Wright serves as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Admissions at the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed), a groundbreaking program that integrates engineering and medicine into a four-year degree. In this role, she is honored to shape the student experience, promote innovation in medical education, and support the development of future physicianeers—physicians who are also trained engineers, poised to transform healthcare.
