Originally from College Station, Texas, Srujan Kancharla chose to pursue medical school at the School of Engineering Medicine because he wants to improve access to effective patient care through the integration of technology. Kancharla received his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University and joins the class of 2024 with experience in epilepsy research on seizure prediction and making a noninvasive intracranial pressure monitor for patients with traumatic head injuries.
Kancharla also volunteered at Big Giveaway, where he helped in the transportation and delivery of donated furniture and household items to international students who have recently moved in town. He enjoys traveling, hikes and playing recreational sports with friends.
