Andrei Demkov, a native of Austin, TX, earned his bachelor of science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. During his undergraduate studies, Andrei was involved in research focusing on vascular regenerative therapeutics, induced pluripotent stem cells, and rejuvenation of senescent cells.
While at UT, Demkov demonstrated his commitment to community service through his involvement with Habitat for Humanity. He gained hands-on medical experience in an orthopedic clinic and emergency departments in the Austin area. Currently, he is interested in pursuing orthopedics, ophthalmology, or vascular surgery.
Away from his academic and clinical pursuits, Demkov enjoys being active through tennis and weightlifting. He also enjoys woodworking and any other sort of tinkering.
