Jamen Cannon was raised in Burley, Idaho, USA, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from Utah State University. During his undergraduate studies, Cannon was recognized for his outstanding academic achievements and contributed to research in tissue engineering, specifically focused on Age-Related Macular Degeneration.
After graduation, Cannon worked as a biomedical engineer, specializing in designing lab equipment for hematology devices. This experience deepened his interest in the intersection of engineering and healthcare.
Cannon chose the EnMed program because of its innovative spirit, which aligns perfectly with his passion for using engineering to advance medical practice. He is particularly interested in pioneering new approaches in endocrinology, combining his technical expertise with medical training to make impactful contributions to the field.
In his free time, Cannon enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, rock climbing, canyoneering, and mountain biking. He also has a keen interest in technology and enjoys staying updated on the latest advancements in the field.
