Biology, Texas Wesleyan University
Originally from Colleyville, TX, Robert McManus graduated summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University with a bachelor of science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During undergrad, McManus immersed himself in plant genomics research, exploring genetic clustering algorithms and population viability modeling. This experience sparked his fascination with the potential of genetics to revolutionize medical advancements and inspired him to pursue a career that combines his expertise in biology with the innovative problem-solving approach of engineering.
After graduating, McManus spent his time as a research assistant at the University of North Health Science Center studying Parkinson’s disease. There he discovered his passion for neuroscience, and hopes to continue studying biology, neuroscience, and genetics at EnMed.
In his free time, you can find McManus tending to his hydroponic plant systems, bike-riding with friends, or going on long runs.
