Utkarsh Singh was raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. During his time in undergrad, Utkarsh was involved in bioinformatics research at Sam Houston State University and sono-optogenetics research working under Dr. Evan Wang at UT Austin, including presentations at the American Society of Microbiology Annual Conferences. In his senior capstone project, he led efforts alongside the Department of Defense to develop a mechanism allowing in-combat canines to receive seamless instruction through auditory channels.
After graduating, Utkarsh spent his time in the Baylor College of Medicine’s Center for Cell and Gene Therapy. Working as a research technician, he gained key clinical experience with pediatric oncology and was involved with CAR-T cell generation and infusion within patients. Utkarsh chose EnMed as it is an exceptional program designed to cultivate physicianeers, professionals equipped with a unique blend of engineering acumen and medical expertise. He plans to further advancement in bringing these two fields closer and integrating them into his everyday practice.
In his free time, Utkarsh loves hiking, swimming, traveling, volunteering, and playing any sport. Most importantly, he values the company of friends and family.
