Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin
Arjun Sangani was raised in Sugar Land, Texas, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. While at UT Austin, he dedicated his efforts to research in minimally invasive deep brain stimulation technology and protein expression at the cellular membrane.
During his undergraduate years, Arjun worked as a patient care technician at St. David’s Medical Center, where he identified opportunities for improvement in medical devices. This sparked his interest in pursuing an internship at ABIOMED in Boston, Massachusetts, where he gained valuable experience in device testing and expanded his engineering expertise. His exposure to the disconnect between the medical and engineering disciplines motivated him to join the EnMed program, where he aims to bridge this gap and foster innovation. Arjun is particularly passionate about advancing minimally invasive devices to reduce the need for debilitating surgical procedures.
In his free time, Arjun enjoys drawing, listening to music, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends.
