Students’ Community Service Efforts Make Big Impact

From the start of the Fall 2022 semester to the end of the holiday season, ENMED students have ignited a spark in their greater local community by inspiring multiple service projects and events.

On World Homeless Day, observed on Oct. 10, ENMED students showed up to support countless members of the Houston community, finding ways to impact the lives of Houston’s homeless population.

Just in time for the holiday season, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood group hosted a blood drive for pediatric patients to provide blood transfusions. Aiding in pediatric patients return home for the holidays, our ENMED students donated 24 units of blood products!

Wrapping up 2022, ENMED students adopted four angels from the Angle Tree Initiative. Collectively, students raised over $600 worth of gifts and donations to fulfill their needs and wishes. All items were delivered to the Salvation Army, creating a memorable holiday for each of their angels!

Thank you to ENMED’s 2025 community service representatives, Alexandra Ramos and Kajol Shah, for coordinating each project, motivating their peers, and dedicating time and energy to ensure the success of each event.
