Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas
Originally from Austin, Sindhura Sridhar joins EnMed with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas.
While at UT-Austin, Sridhar volunteered in the day surgery and emergency departments at Dell Seton Medical Center, and conducted research focusing on interactions within MRN, a protein responsible for initiating DNA double-strand damage repair. Her current research interests are wide, but she’s generally interested in improving the integration of medical devices into medical care.
“Over the next four years at EnMed, I hope to combine my passion for engineering and medicine to find technological solutions to improve healthcare for physicians and patients,” she said. “I chose EnMed because it offers incredible opportunities for me to engage in diverse and creative learning experiences in engineering, entrepreneurship, and healthcare throughout my medical education.”
Outside of school, Sridhar enjoys running, Bharatanatyam (Indian classical dancing), cooking, and playing board games on a Friday night with friends and family.
