Anita Sumali

Texas A&M University, Biomedical Engineering

Anita Sumali is from Albuquerque, New Mexico and received her bachelor of science degree from Texas A&M University in Biomedical Engineering.

During her undergraduate career, Sumali enjoyed working as a research intern at Johns Hopkins University, studying the effects of hydrogel viscoelasticity on wound healing rates and as an R&D engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. She also took the opportunity to volunteer in Honduras building clean water devices, and she hopes to continue combining engineering and medicine to improve lives through EnMed.

In her spare time, Sumali enjoys running, swimming, baking, cooking, and listening to Taylor Swift.
