Arnob Haque

University of Texas at San Antonio, Biomedical Engineering

From Corpus Christi, Texas, Arnob Haque earned a bachelor of science in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Graduating in 2023 with Highest Honors in Tissue and Cell Engineering, Haque actively engaged in peer advising and mentorship as a leader in his university’s Pre-Medical Society and Health Professions Office. As an engineering student, he regularly showcased his affinity for collaborative efforts within team competitions, notably winning the inaugural Draper Data Science Competition.

Haque‘s engineering interests include tissue mechanics, bioinstrumentation, software design, and imaging, with a passion for cardiac applications. Motivated by his family’s history of heart-related ailments, he tackled coronary artery disease in his capstone project, collaborating with UT Health San Antonio and Clayton Biotechnologies to develop a laser intravascular lithotripsy catheter.

As a Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine student, Haque aims to explore the wide range of opportunities the program offers. Eager to learn in the blended environment, he is determined to begin making strides in delivering quality healthcare through continuous innovation.
