Koyal Ansingkar

Case Western Reserve University, Medical Physiology

Koyal Ansingkar is from Columbus, GA, and graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Gold Scholar from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science in Industrial and Systems Engineering and two minors in Physiology & Health and Medical Sciences. She also holds a Master of Science in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, with a concentration in Physiological Research.

During her masters, Ansingkar received a grant from the United States Air Force to conduct research on the extreme environments in tactical aviation and their effects on neuroinflammation. She established a university chapter of the Aerospace Medicine Student and Resident Organization at Case Western Reserve University, serving as its inaugural president. Ansingkar was invited to present the outcomes of her research at the Aerospace Medical Association’s 93rd Annual Meeting in May 2023, where she was a finalist for the 2023 Jeff Myers Young Investigator Award.

Outside of the classroom, Ansingkar is a professionally trained concert violinist and Hindustani Classical vocalist. She has been the first place winner of the Atlanta Indian Idol in both the junior and senior categories and hopes to continue cultivating her passion for both violin and singing in Houston.
