Sanjna Sandeep

Sanjna Sandeep is from Frisco, TX, and holds a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. During her undergraduate career, Sandeep was a research assistant in Dr. Lydia Contreras’ protein engineering lab while also being the mellophone section leader in the Longhorn Band. Additionally, she volunteered at St. David’s Emergency Department and worked as a certified medical assistant at a pain clinic.

After graduating in 2021, Sandeep completed her masters in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. She was also a research fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases during this time. In Dr. Nancy Sullivan’s Biodefense Research Section, Sanjna worked in the Yeast Engineering Technology and Immunobiology Core, studying humoral immune responses to improve and generate vaccine-based therapeutics.

In her free time, Sandeep enjoys spending time with her cat, Blue, and exploring restaurants in Houston with friends and family. Ask her about the last movie she watched!
